With the start-up of our Shifang plant earlier this year PSC water-soluble products quality will be under our own control starting with the phosphoric acid production, phosphoric salts reaction and crystallization as well as dosing and mixing.

PSC-UP

PSC-UP is a white crystalline powder and is completely water soluble. As an efficient source of nitrogen and phosphorus it is comparable with diammonium phosphate(DAP) and monoammonium phosphate(MAP) but with additional benefits. The product contains 17% nitrogen and 44% phosphate(P₂O₅).

Extra Benefits Acidity The main difference between Urea Phosphate(UP) and all other NP products is its acidity and because of this it is recognised ad being a very versatile NP fertiliser. Acidity increases rhe efficiency of uptake of mutrients and also prevents blockage of irrigation pipes and nozzles.Under normal conditions no extra acid treatment is required if UP or UP-based fertilisers are applied.
This applies particularly in ‘hard’ waters which are high in calcium and magnesium, and can cause clogging of pipes and nozzles. Up or UP-based fertilisers acidify the water and reduce the bicarbonate level. A solution of 100mg/1 UP reduces the bicarbonate content of alkaline water by 39mg/1; this solution contains 18mg/1 N and 44mg/1 P₂O₅. Urea phosphate is considered to a dry acid which does not have the handling hazards often associated with liquid acids.
	Water Solubility In fertigation systems high water soubility is essential. Urea phosphate has excellent solubility: at 20⁰C, solubility is 960g/1 compared to DAP at 690g/1 and MAP at 380g/1.

Basic Raw Material

Urea phosphate is used as a raw material to make a wide range of NPK fertilisers with or without micronutrients. PSC manufactures a wide range of different grades of NPK fertilisers for use around the word.
